QuiltsBy.me

Made for my 8 year old grandson with “sports” as was his request! Used some fabric from stash that he has either liked or was with me when I bought it. Also used an old flannel shirt pocket. He uses it for one of his little “stuffies” stuffed animals. It is made with flannel, fleece, cotton fabrics and backed with a solid piece of flannel.

Jenny’s Doll Quilt

This is my first quilt project. I made this quilt for our new great granddaughter. The fabric is Crayola’s Colorful Friends. Both pattern and fabric were purchased at the Missouri Star Quilt store in Hamilton, Mo. Jenny Doan made this pattern from a quilt that was made for her when she was young by a lady from her church.

Baby Irish Chain

Always looking for a simple mindless sewing project. Gathered my 2 inch square scraps and got busy with some white on white tonal fabrics. Finished at 45 x 45 square.

Silver Stones 2

Posted Silver steps previously but it wasn't long arm quilted and the binding (obviously) wasn't on. Ann, at Blue House Quilting finished all the long arm quilting and I just finished the binding.

Summit

This was a project in a subscription box I get. I've had the top done for a while. My goal this year is to get all the quilt tops I have quilted and gifted.

Steam Punk Deep Dive

I just finished this quilt top, which still needs to be quilted and bound. Since the fabric is very specific to the pattern by Desiree Habicht, I purchased a kit. It's a good-sized quilt, 72" x 82", and I'm ruminating on how to quilt it on my Domestic machine. The quilt is for my teen grandson, who now towers above me.

A Star is Born

This pattern is from Melissa Corry's book Charming Baby Quilts. It goes together easily and is 51 x 51 when completed. I used 2 Thirties charm packs called Playtime. https://smile.amazon.com/Its-Sew-Emma-Charming-Melissa/dp/1733960856/ref=sr_1_2?crid=35QGC4T5NJ4YG&keywords=charming+baby+quilts+by+melissa+corry&qid=1647289224&sprefix=charming+baby%2Caps%2C189&sr=8-2

Quilt of Valor

This is a Fons & Porter QOV pattern in the September/October 2019 issue of Love of Quilting. It's called Americana Pinwheels. Was a challenging pattern for me. Quilt finished at 64 x 76. Presented to an Air Force Veteran on Friday. Background fabric is Marcus Fabrics "Concrete" by Timeworn Toolbox Designs. The rest were scraps and pieces from my stash. I used a wide backing, My favorite longarmer quilted Loops & Stars

Faces

Anger and sadness can be found together in varying degrees. Often as the result of a loss. Sometimes one causes the other. Sometimes they are both present resulting in some kind of super- emotion, maybe fear. 43” x 30”

Scrap happy changing pad

So just playing around with scraps. I do a lot of baby quilts. But the next baby will get a quilt and this little changing pad. Measures 24 x24. Lots of times the changing table is across the house or upstairs. I thought this would be perfect to keep in a little diaper basket in the family room. Edited to add: This went out today to a new baby girl along with a very girly quilt. I told mom that for now it was a changing pad but little lady can use if for a doll quilt later on.

Valentine Hearts

This was a kit. It arrive late so I didn't get it in time for Valentines Day. I'll decorate with it next year.
