QuiltsBy.me

I wanted a simple Christmas Table Runner to feature a beautiful poinsettia fabric. This was an original design and my first time quilting a project.

Winter Time

This is my version of Beyond the Horizon for my husband. It looks a little like a full moon rising on a clear winter night. I backed it with flannel so it's extra snuggly.

Seashore

This quilt is for my aunts 88th birthday. I went to visit her in Florida and she chose the fabrics for this throw. She walks on the beach everyday, I think that's what keeps her so young!

Spring In Bloom

This was made from Brandywine Designs "Seasons of Love" book using Aunt Grace, Treasures from the Past, and Everything but the Kitchen Sink. I didn't do the quilting.

City cats

This is a throw sized quilt for a lovely young woman from Turkey. She is working on her PH.D. in autism and almost completed. Then she will ever returning home. I thought she should have something to remember us by.

Flamingos vs Sooners

I can share this now that the recipient has it. This was a challenge to make the fabrics come together and I was able to try a new pattern, Walkabout. Had a lot of fun making it and it was the first one that I quilted myself. There will be several more pics of gifts after Christmas.

Our Christmas Tree

My son has Autism and guarding the christmas tree was getting to be way too much work. So this year I made a christmas tree wall hanging. Looks good and my son leaves it alone. Happy, happy, joy, joy!

Grandma's Quilts

Using an old quilt made by my husband's grandmother in the 40s or 50s, I created 8 unique wall hangings with coordinating modern fabric to bring a new look to her heirloom houses.

Nativity Wall Hanging

This is another bit of stash I got in Paducah KY this summer on our vacation and visit home to Iowa. I knew just the right person for this Nativity Wall Hanging with the words from the Handel's "Messiah" . Our choir director, she is going to love her Christmas gift this year.
